Suzanne’s partner Mark purchased her a gift certificate for a Maternity session as she is pregnant with twins. Suzanne wanted a mixture of different types of images so we set off to a few different locations around brisbane for some fun and games. Poor Suzanne is now confined to bed rest until the babies are born, so we were lucky to get these images when we did. Good luck Suzanne!!

With the Ideal Bride Expo at the RNA Showgrounds now over for another 6 months, we had an amazing response to our stand from many eager brides and grooms. We were running a competition for a $1000 engagement package and received an overwhelming amount of entries. The Lucky winner is

Lauren & Matthew of Rochedale South. Lauren & Matthew are getting married in April 2010.

I met NIcole and Cameron at the Powerhouse for their engagement shoot. Nicole and cameron had decided they wanted some photos with their daughter Helayna. Helayna is 2 and is the cutest little thing, not shy of the camera either! Nicole and Cameron are getting Married on 7th March 2009.

Rebecca and Andrew were married at Melany on lucky Friday 13th. We were hired to video their wedding, with Ben travelling with our Videographer Depesh to help out. We were not actually booked to photograph their wedding but couldn’t resist taking the camera anyway.   Rebecca and Andrew had 10 minutes spare before entering their reception so Ben decided to work his magic with that 10 minutes. The weather was extreme that day with large amounts of rain and storms for most of the day. We were lucky enough that the weather cleared long enough for us to take some beautiful images.

I recently met with Sarah & Josh for their Engagement Shoot in the City. Sarah and Josh are getting married in October this year and have XSiGHT photographing and videographing their wedding. We had alot of fun on their engagement shoot, here are a few images.

I said that I would post up all of the videos leading up to the final episode but instead you can go here  to check them all out.  The fstopblog.tv blog is also a great resource for education for photographers .  However what I am going to do is put up the last episode which is a recap of the whole series and the final videos that both teams of photographers had 24 hours to come up with.

What a great effort for such a great cause.

The two videos are also being voted at the WPPI in Las Vegas where over 100,000 photographers gather at the biggest trade and education show in the world.  Justine and I cant wait to go next year with XSiGHT Syndey and Melbourne,  but in the mean time we will just have to hear about it from all our friends on the world of facebook and blogs.  Hope everyone is having fun over there.

We have been soooo busy over the last couple of months meeting so many wonderful brides and grooms that are getting ready for their big day and deciding on their perfect photographer.  So we hope that we can help you out with one less thing to think about.

It seems like over the last 6 months we have gone through the most incredible growth stage with everything happening all at once,  we are signed on to do a bunch of bridal expos this year as well as plenty of magazines which have either come out or are going to come out in the next couple of months.  We would also like to welcome the newest edition to our Team,  Ms Emily Boyd who is going to be our Portrait photographer and an additional wedding photographer to join the XSiGHT Brisbane team.

Emily is very well known within the AIPP and she is also on the Queensland AIPP Council.  Last National awards Emily was invited to have an exibition called ‘faces of photography’ from which she has created a book of portraits of well known photographers in the industry.

I met with Nadine and Steve for the engagement shoot at the powerhouse. Nadine and Steve were the winners of our engagement package competition at the last Ideal Bride Expo at the RNA Showgrounds. Unfortunately I was already booked for their wedding date so was unable to shoot their wedding, much to my and their dissappointment. I had a heap of fun working with them at their engagement shoot.

For those still planning their wedding there will be another Ideal Bride Expo at the RNA showgrounds on 20th,21st,22nd Feb. We will be there and we will also be running another Engagement package competition for those interested.
