Kimberley & Michael – 24th October 2009

Kimberly and Michael said that they wanted something a little bit different and pretty much left the day up to me for locations, style and everything.  So what i did is go to 3 locations that I have never gone before but have been itching to get there for ages.

Oh and I nearly forgot,  Michael shot himself with a nail gun or some heavy piece of equipment 3 days before the wedding!!  minor scaring but he will be fine.  Kimberly and Michael were a capital A for awesome!!

Boomstar Loco Promo Shoot

Boomstar Loco is a music group that performs in the valley and all sorts of different night spots.  I was lucky enough to have these guys play for my 30th Birthday at the Family night club in Brisbane just recently and they just rocked the house,  everyone was just blown away by their unique music.  If you every get a chance to go and see these guys play it is an absolute must!

The group is made up of Anthony Radazza on the decks ,  Darren Skaar on the trumpet and Stephane Elmosnino on the bongo drums.

This is probably a little bit different to my normal wedding photos but I like to experiment with different types of genres,  i find it gives me more inspiration in the weddings.  Speaking of which the weddings that i have to blog are pretty fricken amazing (if I do say so myself) so come back now ya hear!!

Holly and Iain’s Wedding – 13th July 2009

I love my job,  i get to meet the most awesome people,  Holly and Iian had a beautiful beach wedding at Noose with one of our favorites Dawn Louise as the celebrant.     These guys are just so in love,  and deffinitly the perfect match.   There was a number of family members that came over from the UK to celebrate the beautiful wedding.  A barefoot beach wedding seemed to be the order of the day.  I cant say that I get to take my shoes of and bury my toes in the sand often while i am working but this was a great exception.

I can say that it felt like one of the brightest days of the year and the guests certainly knew what it was like to have an Australian beach wedding.

Yoshiko & Will – 25th July 2009

When Will and Yoshiko initally contacted me about photographing their wedding they drove all the way up from Toowoomba to meet me and through chatting a little bit realised that we have quite a few similar freinds and went to the same school  (maybe a little to long ago now) and are only a couple of years apart in age.  So the wedding was a bit like a school reunion as I knew quite a number of the guests that I hadn’t see in years.

The day was set to be amazing with the ceremony being held at Newstead park at the rotunda and the reception at the amazing customs house.

Veena & David’s Wedding – 7th June 2009

This was the first time that i have shot a wedding at the Novotel Twin Waters on the sunshine coast but it was an absolutely amazing day,  the weather held out and everyone was pretty stress free.  it was awesome fun to be driven around the little golf carts and there were heaps of places to venture for photos.  Veena and David both got ready in the Grand Mercure North shore apartments which was just around the corner for where the big day took place.

One of the more amusing things that happened on the day was that Venna and David where supposed to actually catch a boat from the jetty over to the reception venue,  i think this is a very romantic way to enter a ceremony,  the unfortunate thing was that one of the staff members actually forgot to hook the motor correctly to the boat and it fell off and sunk to the bottom of the river.   Luckily Veena and David hadn’t got on the boat yet.   It wasn’t funny at the time but looking back now I am sure that this is something that everyone will remember as a pretty amusing point for the day.
